MAX EDOS – Energy Decision Optimizer System
The MAX Energy Decision Optimizer System condenses into MAX EDOS. A cloud of data is interconnected, forming a rotating polyhedron with highlighted decision surfaces.
Energy Cost Optimisation, Systematically
MAX EDOS – Rethinking energy, making economic decisions.
MAX EDOS optimises economic decision-making in the planning, optimisation and control of energy as an economic factor. It is modular, integrable and tailored to the individual needs of commercial and industrial enterprises. MAX AI agents continuously monitor data sources, forecasts, and operational processes and consolidate them to inform new optimization decisions.
Plannable
Energy costs are not merely monitored but planned proactively and with clear objectives. Forecasts provide early clarity on costs, load peaks and options for action.
Flexible
Storage systems, generators and consumers are orchestrated flexibly with the aim of optimising costs. Available flexibility is deployed where it makes the greatest economic contribution.
Automated
Data acquisition, analysis, forecasting, optimisation and control of assets are carried out automatically. Expected and actual deviations feed continuously into the schedule via delta management.
MAX EDOS links data, forecasts, mathematical optimisation and operational control into an integrated system.
Don't regulate rigidly.
Decide economically.
Why MAX EDOS?
The new energy reality.
It is no longer enough to operate individual assets well. What matters is their economic interplay. Electricity procurement, self-generation, storage, heat, cooling, flexible consumers, dynamic prices, grid charges, CO₂ impact, marketing opportunities and technical limits must be assessed simultaneously.
When should energy be generated, purchased, stored, transformed, consumed, avoided, sold or marketed in order to achieve the overall economic objective as effectively as possible?
The value is created by the optimised overall schedule. MAX AI agents link market, weather, tariff, production, and plant data, identify anomalies, and provide up-to-date information to support decision-making.
Objectives
Optimise energy costs.
Minimise total costs and maximise economically viable revenues, while maintaining security of supply and complying with technical limits and statutory requirements.

System architecture
The building blocks of MAX EDOS.
Each building block fulfils a clear purpose. Together, they form an intelligent system for economic energy decisions.
The data space
MAX Data Space consolidates historical load profiles, generation values, prices, and production and plant data, and makes them available in a structured form. This creates a reliable common foundation for forecasts, optimisation and operational decisions.
Real-world conditions
MAX Constraint Library maps statutory, technical and customer-specific requirements as binding constraints. This ensures that operating limits and requirements are reliably observed in every plan and decision.
Decision data
MAX Preprocessing cleanses measurement errors, outliers, missing values and differing time grids prior to further processing. This improves data quality and prevents erroneous forecasts or decisions.
Understanding
MAX Analytics examines energy, plant and production data and makes correlations, load peaks and cost drivers visible. This makes previously unidentified flexibility and specific optimisation opportunities transparent.
Forecasting
MAX Predictive Analytics generates forecasts for energy demand, generation, prices, temperatures, storage states and risks. This forward-looking information provides a robust basis for planning and optimisation.
Deciding
MAX Prescriptive Analytics links forecasts with objectives and constraints and derives specific recommendations for action from them. This makes it clear when energy should be purchased, stored, generated, consumed or marketed.
Overall schedule
MAX Optimizer combines objectives, forecasts, constraints and technical limits into a coordinated overall schedule. This determines the most economically advantageous combination of all available measures for the period under consideration.
Implementing
MAX Automation connects the optimised schedule to EMS, BMS and plant control systems via MAX Agent, REST APIs and other interfaces. As a result, specifications are transmitted automatically, implemented and monitored in their execution.
Pre-assessment
MAX Digital Twin simulates investments, plant configurations and different operating scenarios prior to implementation. This makes it possible to assess technical and economic impacts before capital is committed or real-world operation is altered.
Control proactively
MAX MPC continuously takes account of forecasts, current measured values, operating limits and changes in plant operation. Control is adjusted proactively and responds in a controlled manner to deviations and new conditions.
Production integration
MAX ERP / MES incorporates production orders and their future energy demand into the 48-hour schedule before they are released. This allows production planning and energy management to be aligned, load peaks to be avoided and energy costs to be reduced.

Project responsibility
From analysis to measurable results.
MAX-CON advises commercial and industrial enterprises neutrally, analyses business processes, energy flows and plant structures, and evaluates investments with MAX Digital Twin before capital is committed.
During implementation, MAX-CON will, on request, assume responsibility for the overall economic concept and align the services of storage manufacturers, EMS providers, energy suppliers, traders, project developers and electrical, measurement and control technology contractors towards a common objective.
Success does not come from individual components. Success comes from their optimised interplay.
This is how energy becomes a plannable economic factor, in a system that grows with the company and adapts to the market, consumption, technology and corporate objectives.
One point of contact. One shared objective.
Storage manufacturers, EMS providers, energy suppliers, marketers and control technology providers rarely pursue the same objective function. MAX-CON brings them together and assumes responsibility for the overall economic concept.
